What's This Green Flash Shit? I'm going to geek out on you for a moment. My roommate and I watched Star Wars: A New Hope on DVD for the first time yesterday. While in most aspects it was fantastic, surround sound and all, there was one thing that really bothered me. During the Vader vs. Obi Wan fight, every time the lightsabers clash, there is a green flash as a result which I found to be extremely distracting. Now I am pretty sure that this did not happen on the original movie or even the special edition. So the only reason its there is that someone (Lucas) decided it should be there. But why? Its never happened in any of the other movies. You can't even argue that there should be green flash from a color wheel standpoint. Red and blue make purple last time I checked. Is nothing sacred Lucas? Must you even change the laws of the fucking color wheel for personal gain? AAAARRRGGHHH! • • • • •
